I decided that this magazine would initially be a female magazine, seeing as the film magazine market is mainly dominated by male film magazines. Also I feel that the type of magazine that would actually do a story on it would be a magazine targeted at females. Which is why it is called "Chick Flick", a term used to describe a film that is targeted at a female audience.
However, this magazine cover does have influences from other film magazines.

This edition of Total Film Magazine influenced my construction of my film magazine. For example the use of two main colours I thought would be effective in drawing close attention to the main feature. The colours I chose were white and purple, this is because they are female colours, however have some sophistication in them. Also the use of one main image I used to, again, bring forward the lead story in the magazine and the image I used was were you see the couple embracing, which then suggests that this is a very female targeted film.
Some of the feature I used on the front cover, have very little to do with the film, but more to do with the authenticity of the magazine. For example, the use of the puffs, such as "SJP hears about the Morgans" is obviously an attempt to attract the target audience with a film that would appeal to them. Also the story on "Oddest Leading Man Crushes" is, again, an attempt to show the comedic element of the magazine and show that it is a fun magazine as well as serious about films etc.
